These two courses are your introduction to the sailing world. Together with visiting new destinations, cruising under the stars and anchoring in idyllic bays, you will start to learn about the working of a yacht. You will be given the opportunity to sail the yacht into beautiful bays and organize the anchoring procedure for a lunchtime stop! You will be shown the ropes and prepare the yacht for docking into some of the most picturesque harbours in the world. At all times we will be referring to safety to ensure a great time is had by all.
You will depart from this course having attained the basic knowledge to be able to happily crew on a sailing yacht and enough comprehension to assist the skipper with his or her commands .Finally, you will leave this course having tasted the wonderful world of cruising, wanting to come back for more. Wanting to discover many more new bays, new places and culture
Apart from covering all aspects of the syllabus, we endeavour that our navigation takes us to some of the most fantastic cruising grounds in Greece. We will practice anchoring in bays next to three thousand year old temples. We will practice different sailing angles in remote bays and take lunch under some breathtaking scenery. Our evenings will spent promenading in medieval back streets of the island of Hydra! All this while you learn to tie the required knots, understand the yacht′s safety procedures and be shown the Man Overboard Procedure.
You will probably undertake your first dinghy ride to a wonderful secluded pebble beach.
One of the great pleasures in undertaking this course is that your initial apprehension changes to enjoyment as the confusion of ropes and equipment turns into an organized system of sailing the yacht efficiently.
