MCA/ RYA Yachtmaster Offshore Certificate of Competence is gained by examination, conducted by RYA Yachtmaster Examiners who are independent of our sailing school. This course is for the very experienced sailor that completed all the prerequisite miles and completed the qualifying passages required.
Our school has produced over the years approximately over two hundred Yachtmasters. The school has developed a program regarding the preparation for the Yachtmaster examination. It involves candidates that require First aid Certificate, and Restricted Radio Operator's Certificate and to brush up their navigation theory. We undertake to organize this for you. We also spend three days on the water. The training on the water will cover navigation, pilotage, boat handling both under engine and sail, safety and an emphasis on crew and yacht management. This all assumes that you have completed all the required sea time.
The Yachtmaster Offshore Certificate is internationally recognized throughout all the yachting industry. This is a minimum requirement for seeking work in the industry. Whether you would like to work in charters, deliveries or are seeking crew work on mega yachts, then this is your first step.
